keeping warm with a kerosene lamp

I am technically homeless though I have very nice van to sleep in and a big storage unit where I can make tea and practice my piano for my performances. I like kerosene lamps and though I'm not supposed to use them in there I've used them all my life and I know how to be careful. Kerosene isn't that flammable anyway - not till its hot.
 I had started putting the lamp on the floor between my feet so the hot air could come up between my legs n on my hands and then I decided one day to put a blanket around the back of the stool and with my feet on another little stool put a sheet folded in half around my lap with my knees kind of spread. it's not really close enough to burn anything but it makes me so warm that after about 20 minutes or so I can take my sweater off and after a half hour I have to blow the thing out and take a break and play some music.
